Today, I had an awkward and weird situation while I was biking along Roxas Blvd., Manila. May mali and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong I kept on looking if there’s a missing part or broken but couldn’t find one so when I reached in front of US Embassy building I decided to turn around and go back and palipas ng uhaw at magisip kung paano aayusin etong bike ko in the middle of no where!
Dun sa gilid nakatayo ako nagmumuni muni hahaha whether or not to get a cab and pahatid sa Quiapo kung san ko binili bike ko but then I was for some reason embarrassed to get one haha. Awkward eh! Kasya ba Mountain bike ko dun?! I think I was standing for about 5 minutes pretending that I’m waiting for someone haha but then I realized I need to ask a fellow biker, someone who looks like he knows his thing so he can help me. Walang dumadaan sa harap ko putik lahat mga bikers dun sa high way nasa gilid ako and they couldn’t see me!! Buti na lang just across the street bandang Luneta na bungad ng Ocean Park I saw this guy in his 40’s I think nagpark sa gilid ng maliit n tindahan ng matanda para magkape eh may bike siya so tawid agad ako and approached them and greeted them with a smile and asked for a little help. He did and he responded kasi hindi balanse yung pedal mo. Dapat opposite sides and opposite direction yung pagkabit ko. Napakamot ako ulo ahh talaga manong ganun pala yun at yun lang pala. Hahaha natawa ako. He fixed it fore and he even adjusted my chair, masyado daw mababa mahirap ang pwersa kaya dapat mataas.
Kape ka muna, he said so nagkape ako at nagorder ng Ribisco choco biscuit at nakipagkwentuhan kay kuya! He told me some interesting stories about his family his wife and I told him about my death, he said God is Good! Binuhay k niya ulit. To sum up everything it was a great experience masiraan ka and I noticed I didn’t panic haha! Good job Amir!! Ang pinoy talaga likas n matulungin! It was a great experience talking to manong Herman Tugade! I just got my Bike repair 101 training from a stranger! Before I left I gave my Thank you and kinamayan ko si Kuya!
God Bless you and Mabuhay kayo Manong!
Update: I went to the store in Quiapo where I bought my bike and borrowed a tool to tighten the screw of my pedal. Got to fixed it free of charge! I think I will need to buy my own tool box na moving forward. Okay n ulit bike ko and mas comfy at mabilis na nga takbo! Kuya was right! Finished a bike trip of 8.46 Miles! Haha
